I think that your 'packing method' will vary greatly depending on your intended use for your kits. I have designed my PSK to only be used in emergencies, where I would probably need much of the equipment inside rthe kit. Once it is opened, much of the gear will be distributed throughout my pockets, except for the gear that needs to be waterproofed - that will stay in the tin.

If you designed your PSK for 'continuous use', i think that it would be better to store the the paracord seperately, or to change your container (I assume that you use an altoids-type container?). Some people use the 'modular system', and others have designed a lanyard hole in the tin, where a paracord lanyard can be attatched without interfering with the opening/closing of the kit. the lanyard can be woven or knotted to get more cord for the desired length, but that has been discussed in other threads.

BTW, just out of interest, what are the contents of your PSK? I love seeing how other people prepare. <img src="images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
