Joseph13, I had the same "Huh?" moment when I read that "chisel grind" thing as well, but when I read it again later I saw it clearer.

The "chisel grind" thing was a reference to the style of tip on the tanto blade, and "grind" was probably the wrong word to use. If you notice, the rest of the sentence says something like "I prefer a more traditional drop point shape"

And the reference to finger guards, was not about the Recon Tanto, but in the next sentence that starts with "In regards to folders".
