I am reminded of the opening movie of simcity 3000 where the oriental guy opens his umbrella for protection from the meteor and other shrapnel. Also the scene from the Last Crusade where Indie's father flaps the umbrella to get the flock of birds in the air to take down the plane.

I think that the probability of Sir Richard Burtons umbrella carrying more than its own weight is rather high.
