There are a couple of products out there that are designed to be used with major bleeds. Basicly, add agent and treat as usual. Reports on QuikClot have been nothing short of amazing. I've not heard much about the performance of TraumaDex.

The two big players are QuikClot and TraumaDex.

The product used as a combat battle dressing in Iraq has been pretty universally panned by the military medical folks that used them. I can provide a reference if you want it.
I don't see a need/use for them from a medical provider's standpoint.
