KG2V Veteran Registered: 08/19/03 Posts: 1371 Loc: Queens, New York City	This weekend, the local Girl Scouts had a table out in front of my local supermarket selling cookies. Now, as much as I LOVE cookies, I can't eat them anymore. So I walked up and said "Hey, I'll buy 2 boxes, and you can give them to someone else as a gift" I was informed that the GS has a new deal going "Buy a box of cookies for the troops" - Yep, you buy the box, the Girl Scouts have them shipped overseas! My wife (former GS leader) was kind of down on the troop donation thing, because of the logistics of supplying cookies to Iraq or Afghanistan, the GS had some real problems getting cookies there when they started doing this. Maybe they have sorted that by now.
