The ability to improvise is a very valuable skill to have.
It seems that we are raising complete generations with that talent and the mental agility it demands removed from them.
Our technology reflects that change too. Most products are designed to be used and thrown away if they break. The idea that things should last or at least be repairable are forgotten concepts.
