I'm with you on the hemostats Jim.

I EDC a pair with me as well. Even put bright yellow mason's line as a lanyard on it and (also helps me find it when I drop the thing in the leaves) and a little blaze orange duct tape as well for visibility.

I use them almost as much as my pocket knife (poking holes in safety seals to get to my Excedrin , pulling my shoe laces underneath each other so I don't walk on the ends (tried stuffing them in my sneakers and they are just too uncomfortable and keep falling out, fishing little things out of nooks and crannies, picking the lint out of my belly button, etc....

Also used the lanyard and hemostat combo as a little improv'd grappling hook to rescue my daughter's arrow from some blackberry bushes once.

Also, they would make a handy roach clip if I was so inclined.....Not planning on it but at least I'm prepared....
