WOW! Bad day, huh?

Nice post. I've got to forward it... esp to the friend who thinks Bill Gates is God. GD'd, more likely.

And Ben... "and let's not forget, computers were meant to make our lives easier..." just remember that a computer going down your throat sideways REALLY HURTS BAD!

NOW the problem is finding carbon paper...

Sue

While I of course use pc's I much prefer stubby pencils and notepads. Moleskine are great, BTW. I have a hardcover notepad in my EDC

Hehe... I feel your pain. I've been doing this stuff since DOS 3.3 was hot stuff, Tandy made computers, and Commodores still roamed the earth.
These days I support only specific custom apps professionally, so I don't have to field all the random PC problem calls. But the stuff still breaks at home, and I am still first-tier support there... mad

Martin,

Does this mean you won't support my VIC 20 anymore and to think, I just upgraded into the latest and greatest in computerical technology, the Commodore 64, I am now deeply hurt.

Not nearly as bad as I am gonna hurt if you don't put down that baseball bat, uh (begins to run) I think I'll, uh, run off now. crazy

*applauds* AUTHOR! AUTHOR!

I'd hang that in my cube, but my boss would be annoyed.

Hi Sue,

So, if you find a sheet of carbon paper, maybe you can run it through the copy machine a few times before using it to make sure you have some spares. I know that works with blank paper so I can get paper for the printer on my desk. crazy
