Hehe... I feel your pain. I've been doing this stuff since DOS 3.3 was hot stuff, Tandy made computers, and Commodores still roamed the earth.
These days I support only specific custom apps professionally, so I don't have to field all the random PC problem calls. But the stuff still breaks at home, and I am still first-tier support there...
