On a french radio, I heard today that Mr PETZL, the guy who invented the famous head lamp, died yesterday or today.
It's his son who started the factory, producing the PETZL lights, in 1975, if I remember correctly what was said.

Sad news indeed... Petzl products are uniformly excellent. I have used them, carabiners to descenders to headlamps, for years with good results. I understand the prototype for the first headlamp used the elastic from a brassiere. How very French!

It may well be so ....and this doesn't prove French are frivolous, but that women are the future of mankind.

Women are the fuel for men's motors ....

Were it not for women, I guess men would have stop being creative, once they had (chronologically) invented beer, football games and finally TV !!! <img src="images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

would we really have gone beyond beer? Football is for showing our physical prowess to the dames and TV for watching late-nite films of the dames so .....

come to think of it would we have had to bother with the beer. Isn't that for weekening the resolve and intelect of the sweeter sex so that they will allow us to have our way?

I reckon that, all things being equal, and especially if the wind velocity and the captain's age do not change, you might well be right !!
