His reputation seems to be he doesn't take stuff from anyone, tells it like it is, and does what needs to be done. Oh, he leads too. Just have to wait for him to be confirmed.
IIRC He took a some (undeserved IMO) heat for some relief item shortages in Fla. but as I recall, it was also AFTER he had given folks appropriate forewarning about needing to have several days of supplies on hand for the hurricanes which kept coming.
Some folks seem to stay in denial and expect handouts and took no time in blaming him...
