I know EXACTLY what you mean about getting stuff outside of the states.
The survival bag is the plastic kind, not the myler/matalic kind. I included 2 because I can wrap the 'blanket' around me and then get inside the 'bag'. Also, much of the hiking in S.A. involves crossing rivers (swimming), and the survival bag is then needind to put my pack and clothes into.

I was thinking of putting the black diamoni ion into the kit because it was small, bright and had a head strap.
