FNP Story SAR Drill We conducted a large-scale SAR drill Saturday night. Things went well, everyone learned something. I owe my wife and middle daughter something big, as they acted as two of the victims and were out in the cold and dark for around 5 hours. We had 3 live victims and 3 mannequins set along a 2-mile stretch of the Monocacy River.
The ATR Team had to haul a victim (mannequin) up a 50 foot railroad trestle / embankment and then lower an inflatable boat, motor and personnel off the trestle to the river to commence a water search downriver.
The only downside, as one of the drill managers, I did not get to play.
