For some reason I can't reply in your original post...

OBG, even though we never managed to meet, I've counted you as one of the most influencial people in my life for years. I can't imagine you not being here anymore.

If you promise to come back and say it was just a joke I'll...I'll buy you a popsicle.

Please?

OBG,

I pray that your fini flight will be peaceful....

High Flight
by John Gillespie Magee, Jr.

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds...and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of...wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up, the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, nor even eagle flew.
And while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space...
...put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

OBG,

Some people say the true measure of a man's life is in the number of people whose lives he made better, whether for an instant or an eternity. If so, then you have lived well, compadre, as many of us are better people, thanks to your willingness to share. Like the others here, I appreciate your gifts of wisdom that you've given to us, and wish you peace and contentment for the next phase of your journey.

oh my gods

OBG, may the next life find you reunited with those who stand by you and love you in this one. I know that you'll always be a protector and teacher, in any life.

Don, I read your post with tears streaming down my face, searching your words for a hint that this was some kind of awful joke.

I do not have the words to tell you how much you have meant to me and the other members here, I just don't.

OBG You will be missed around the campfire, I know that when you reach the other side others will look to you for advice as we here on earth have. Don just remember all the friends and family you have here at ETS.

God Speed Don

G'bye ol' sage frown

I couldn't help but think of this song when I read your last post. We all will follow you into the sunset one day ol' boy.

Cheers OBG. You have always exuded goodwill and smiles here...thank you for that.

OBG:

I have never had the opportunity to meet or talk with you, however I would like you to know that it was reading one of your many posts of wisdom here that motivated me to sign up and be a part of this ETS community.

Today my thoughts are with you and your family. Tiatén:ro (You and I are friends) and I hope that you find Skennen'kó:wa (great peace) wherever you may journey.
