If you are seiously interested in this, I would highly recomend a visit to knife forums. There are many keen knife makers there and even a forum dedicated to newbie knife makers. Here.

Thanks. I doubt i'd get into this as a full time hobbie or anything, but it would be nice to see how it is done. I think Chris Reeves started out in a similar situation, in Kwa-Zulu Natal (South Africa <img src="images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)

I too would be happy one of my custom knives for a sparklite/photon.........A nailfile sharpened to make a dagger/ knife. Hmmmmmm, not the most sturdy knife I must say <img src="images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />.
