Wow, snow in Folsom! I used to live in Pollack Pines and then Placerville in 1976 and we had a mother of a winter that year. Don't recall a power outage though. Moved down to Sacto where Rancho Seco was still online and we had plenty of cheap power.

Power outages always make you appreciate the luxury of having electricity at the flip of a switch. Where I live now in Idaho we have a few outages a year. None ever seem to last more than three hours though.
