I've got "the knife itch" again, I really do (a BAD thing). I really don't feel like going over to Bladeforums (haven't been there in probably 8-9 months) so I'm going to ask here

I have a William Henry "Lancet" - nice knife, for a small gent's knife, but I have better (customs)

Think is, I like the lancet except for a few little things - in order of least important to most (for me)

1)The Bolsters are Nickel Silver - OK, they look nice, but they tarnish all the time - stainless would be nice

2)I'd love ambidextrous thumb studs

And the killer - if it was 25%-50% larger, it would be great. It has a 2-3/8" blade, and a closed length of 3-1/2 inches, which is OK, but I'd like to see it say have a closed length of around 5", with a proportional increase in blade length

Anyone know of a knife like this? I do NOT want an assisted opener. I had to go through a detector one day, and they would have checked say a leatherman, or the lancet, but I had a leak on me - the court officer said "take it back to your car - and I'm being nice - I should arrest you for having a switchblade" - I have heard other stories of folks having assisted openers taken as switchblades, even if they are not (we know it) - but the answer always is "I can take it, and let you go, or I can arrest you, and you can tell it to the judge, and maybe get it back"
