Kinda reminds me of the masonry business, how many different versions of pre-cast or tooled construction units are being generated, and yet I see chimneys, retaining walls, even houses built from stones gathered from the field.

I suppose when they finally develop the lightsaber style blades, then we will finally have the ultimate knife. Never needs sharpening, cuts through anything, adjustable length, width, and can also be used to make fire or signal a rescue! They won't be able to top that one for a long time I bet.
