'In the third season of Survivorman, Stroud travels the world and sets up real-world scenarios in which he must survive. This year Stroud finds himself in: the frigid Arctic tundra where he finds a clever way to start a fire; Temagami in Canada where SAR (Search and Rescue) is deployed to find Stroud; the unforgiving Australian Outback where temperatures can fluctuate drastically and water is sparse; Papua New Guinea, one of the world’s least explored countries, where undiscovered plant and animal species are thought to exist; rugged Sierra Nevada as a lost hiker; and Colorado where he has to find food and water for himself and his horses.


CES Sony: the Secret to My Survival featuring Les Stroud, creator of Survivorman™
Les will be a featured speaker at the CES show on January 9th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sony booth (Central 14200) talking about how he uses Sony software and camera equipment in the production of Survivorman and will also provide tips and tricks for those wanting to simply edit a memorable family outing.

Les did a seminar at the National Assoc. of Broadcasters meeting in Las Vegas a year ago. Sony was a sponsor of his show buy suppling cameras and accessories. Amazing how many camera were killed in the production of his shews.
