How does one edit their posts on these forums. I seem to have gotten some facts wrong on one of my posts and I want to correct my content.

I don't see an EDIT button on my posts anywhere..

Help..?

Hey Fabian,

No stupid questions here.

It should be right in the bottom of the frame that holds your post itself. Should see links for Edit, Reply, Quote, etc (6 altogether) The Edit link is not there unless it's one of your personal posts, but it lives to the left of Reply.

Usually the EDIT link is at the bottom of the post when you click submit. If it is not there then the time to EDIT has expired and you may need to do an addition to your comments to correct any mistakes. Usually you can correct something like a broken link to an online story by posting the link again.

The only stupid questions are the ones that did not get asked!

I'm sure you just asked a question a lot of people were afraid to ask. Nothing wrong with that.

Make sure that you are logged in first. If you are not then the post alteration buttons are not visible


Also I seem to remember something that a bit of advice that Sensi wrote for a Samurai serving his liege.

If I remember correctly it was:

" Do not be afraid to ask an obvious question. Even if it brings you shame. The shame from asking is but a momentary thing. The shame from failure, because you did not have the courage to ask, lasts a lifetime."

Or if you prefer: The only stupid question is the one that was not asked.

Up untill last August I lead a team of around a 12 men. Working in a warehouse. People come and go. Every time a got a New Guy I was at pains to explain to them that there is no such animal as a stupid question. If you don't know, don't guess! Come and ask.

And I was sudden death on any one who laughed or jeered at the question.
