I just have to share this with everyone who can be affected.
I received 2 emails 39 minutes apart both saying the same thing.
My ebay account was suspended and I had to reissue info so I would be reinstated. I thought this was just a normal random sweep and I clicked one of the links. It looked like the usual ebay page. I entered my password and the next "ebay" page appeared and asked for all sorts of info including my Drivers license. This was a bit much and I backed out quickly, went to ebay and searched out their email (not an easy task). Ebay responded within 24 hours stating that my account is ok and they DID NOT SEND THE EMAIL!!
I sent the emails to ebay and to att where one of the emails came from and the other came from Canada!. I forwarded this to the ISP.
You always hear of these scams, spoofing, it's called. The page could not be distinguished from Ebay.
This could happen to AOL, Paypal or any other.
NEVER reply to a link in an email looking for financial info.
I see how easy identity theft can happen, now.
