A thirty eight year old man and his dog were found well fed and watered after 9 days out stuck in a bog in the East Kimberly region.
Ian Graham, made a shelter, made a fire, collected rain water, and caught fish.
Western Australian police were "stunned" at the elaborate camp he had pieced together and at his healthy state in general.

After watching the Survivorman episode last week where Les was in the Outback, I gotta say he looked like he was doing very well out there. I am not too surprised the fellow got by as he did, he certainly had the resources for it.

My only complaint while in the bush was I got stung in the armpit by some little wasp/ant thing and it burned for a few days. Other than that, we had loads of fun. Those Aussie mates love the mud.

It sure is refreshing to hear of a good lost camper, Most of the time we only hear of the body count. It would be interesting to find out if he is a reader of this or other preparedness web sites, or just a damn good backwoodsman.

Getting a ATV bogged down can happen to anyone.

Sounds like one of the only real things he did wrong was incorrectly identify his destination when he told his partner where he was going.

lol, there's an example where it was used to save someone for whoever asked for it a while back, although with water he was technically going to be fine.

Fishing gear is more than for food supply, it can halo occupy the time when your emergency camp is made, water and the wood supply gathered - it gives you something to do.
