Interesting, but I'm undecided if this wrench is really a practical space saver or not ...
Folding Pocket Wrench: Folding Crescent Wrench Set

Not inexpensive; but, then again, maybe it shouldn't be(?).
And, looks like you would have to carry two of them to cover both Standard and Metric.

An interesting idea, I had a socket that had a similar concept, concentric hexagons that was supposed to adjust to any size bolt.

Not sure what this wrench could accomplish that a regular 6" adjustable wrench couldn't, plus it's infinitely adjustable. But in an emergency, I'd take a pair of slip joint pliers anyday.

Here's another option, very compact and very very rugged. We use these at work extensively and they hold up to some serious abuse and they will not mar the surface and can press and remove smaller bearings plus holding parts together. Very compact and and lots of uses. We carry 1- 7in and 1- 10 inch in our bag and it covers everything we need to do with them. 12 point bolts are doable as well for the aviation crowd.

Interesting.
Can't beat the locking plier though. Speaking of, I think I need a few more of them...

When the spam hits that fan I want a 10" vise-grip with wire cutters. I'll settle for a 7" because that fits in my back pocket.

But the jaws on vise-grips and pliers chew up nuts and bolts pretty badly.

So I can see the value of those Knipex adjustables. In many everyday situations, or especially when hanging out with old-car enthusiasts, anything that mars up surfaces is grounds for derision and/or divorce. "I say, old boy, it's just not done."

I like the Garrett Wade stuff, I bought some gimlets from them that are of the best quality.

I am also a big fan of crescent wrenches in a pinch- that and a good pair of vise grips can solve plenty of problems.

Glad to help Lon, they work great, after you use them for a while it's very hard to go back to conventional wrenches. I have 2- 7 inch sets and 1-10 inch set, but I use the 1-7 inch sets and 1-10 inch set at work 99% of the time. You'll definitely love them.
