It is a very good idea to sterilize the water use for brushing teeth, bathing. Not just for drinking water only. It had been known that some hikers got scratch/cut during the day hike. They settle down at base camp in the evening and fall sick after bathing with contaminated water.

However, the steripen is not suitable for sterilizing a big tub of water.
