I am very dubious about the no carbon monoxide bit.
In perfect combustion reaction, you get CO2 and H20. This isn't a perfect combustion reaction if for no other reason than your fuel will be imperfect, so you get lots of other stuff, like CO. So I'm not at all dubious- if I was, I'd have doubts. I'm just going to call it bogus.

My friends and I have successfully used these heaters for years while in our ice fishing shacks .I find they work very well but yes you MUST have ventilation.
