Here is a link to some of my camping pictures:

http://www.photoshow.com/watch/mf4px8fD

We were wet, but had a great time. I did have one mishap though. When we were setting up our canopy, we were connecting the center poles and when I was sliding the bottom pole into the EZ Corner sleeve, the guy holding the top let go before the pole was seated. So the webbing part of my right hand got bit. It was like a cigar cutter effect. But since that part is fleshy, the cut was small, but the blood blister and bruise is big. My thumb pad and the back knuckle part of my thumb is purple. And strangely so are the knuckles for my index and middle finger. It looks like I punched someone with a karate reverse punch.

The bright side is I learned that I can split wood left handed with my ax.

We were also able to start and maintain a fire through the four and a half inches of rain we had in the last 40 hours.

All the food was fantastic! And the box oven that we made about six months ago is still going strong. One of the families used it to slow cook a huge brisket over eight hours. Delicious!

And since I was falling asleep, I only noticed I marked the duck incorrectly after I had finished. And I am too lazy to go back to change it.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy. I am off to bed.

I forgot to mention, the tarp in the first picture is the one I was thinking of adding to the drawing. Of course it would be a new one.

Before I included it, I wanted to test it and it was great. Lightweight, easy to handle.

The first thing I did, since it was a nice sunny day, was to set up a leanto for the kids to play in. But when the skies opened up, the leanto came dome and it became an extra rain fly for our group canopy.

So go to the drawing post and make a donation to the ETS Foundation to get a chance.

Our computer is kinda on the fritz, so I could only see the first five pics, lotsa blue sky in those. Much better than 4.5 inches of rain!

Glad you had a good time, sorry 'bout the hand...

Thanks for your comments everyone. The kids had a great time playing in the rain, and so did the children. laugh
