After days on the ocean or river I give it a "bath" in wd40. I than wipe it dry and put some of the Remington Gun Oil with teflon on hinges. Works fine. I neglected my Wave one time after comming back from the kayaking trip and few weeks later nasty surprise in terms of rust stains on the blades was formed. Since than I realy try to be more preventive.
