I own one of the Nite-Ize Mini Pock-Its which I was given by 'Bagheera', great bloke. I regularily carry this (although with a Spyderco Endura and Inova X5) and find it to be really sturdy with a great clip.

Does anyone know if there are utility shoulder straps? Kind of like a shoulder holster but for multitools -- NOT firearms.

Yes, what you want is made by a man in Washington State. Visit http://www.survivalsheath.com . He is very nice to deal with, and quality is excellent. If you don't see what you want, ask him and he can make it.

You might also want to check out offerings from New Sun Gear and Maxpedition.

The gear from maxpedition is very sturdy. I only have 3 months personal experience with one of their shoulder bags. Think thicker cordura and tough constrution. I expect it to last a long time.

I've been using a NewSun pouch for about 1.5 years and it is showing some serious wear, but has held up will carrying a wave, surefire e2e, cellphone and more. This included high energy activites like running, I think the bouncing around on my belt with the heavy wave inside is killing it. Attachment system is novel and allows bag to swing around quite a bit. Materials and construction are lighter.

Hello everyone, first post. After about a year of searching for a horizontal pouch for a Wave multitool, I've found one company that will custom fabricate nylon pouches for virtually any tool, light,or combo.Made in any color, nylon type, carry-angle, belt loop or clip, etc. The completed work is extremely durable and the detail I really like ( mostly due to work)washable . The site is www.morenylon.com .The owner's name is Art.

You may also want to check this one out. I like mine a lot and the price is reasonable. Pete

Thanks for your reply! The quality does look good, even if the price is a little steep.

I like to say, "you get what you pay for", and generally I have found that to be true. Of course, there are a lot of ways to throw your money away. Good luck in you search.
