There is a list item that reads:

"Leatherman Super Tool or Victorinox SwissTool and Leatherman Micra may be substituted for the Leatherman Wave."

Does this mean that either a Leatherman Super Tool and a Leatherman Micra, as a two-item group, or the Victorinox SwissTool and a Leatherman Micra, as another two-item group, may be substituted for the Wave?

Or does this mean that EITHER the Leatherman Super Tool, as one item, OR Victorinox SwissTool and a Leatherman Micra , as two items, may be substituted for the Wave?

The way the sentence reads, it could go either way. As an English major and multitool nut, I have to know. Grin.

O.K. college boy, as a self avowed multi tool nut the issue is moot, now isn't it? ( public speaking and debate 101) As to semantics, I believe Doug means the two tools combined are a complete substitute. Then again , I may be wrong. The emails exchanged to proofread upcoming reviews leads to Webster, old writing style texts and Joyceian stream of unconsciousness

That handy little book is online now at http://www.bartleby.com/141/ . You don't actually have to buy a paper copy.
