I hope that this is not old news to most, but I just learned that anyone (with a clean background) can get a CCW in Nevada that is good in about eight other states. (http://207.228.25.169/pages/RecordsCivil/Records/ccws.html). You have to attend a one day class and do some simple range work. A couple of friends from CA just did it, and report it to be a very simple process.

You can get a CCW from Florida over the internet (http://www.dfwgunsafety.com/CCW_Classes/florida_ccw.htm). A Fla CCW is valid in 20 other states.

Both of these CCW's are good for five years.

I have been told, but not researched it yet, that a CCW can also be easily obtained from the state of Utah, and that with all three (NV, FLA, and UT), one can legally carry in over 28 states.

Just for your info...
