I was at the wedding of a coworker this weekend and noticed a reoccuring problem at formal functions.

Because most dress attire is manufactured with style instead of durability being the primary concern you often see wardrobe malfunctions at these events. It is often the first time the items has been worn and they also may be a little on the tight side?

This weekend both the mother-of-the-groom and the bride had clothing difficulties. Being the normal "go-to-guy" I was asked if I had a sewing kit or safety pins on me; it hurt to say that I did not (had black "Gorrila Tape", but it would have clashed)! I had left my EDC mini-kit in the hotel room and felt naked without it (I will post this kit for review on the forum soon).

So to prevent this from happening again I have pinned a few high quality safety pins into the lining of my suit jacket and put a sewing kit with a variety of thread colours, in the inside pocket.

I hope to be the hero of some bridesmaid at the next wedding I attend.

Mike

Add some light weight monofilament line in addition to/replacing the thread. It will let you match any color material.

Duh,

I thought that the reason you avoid weddings and funerals is because at either one someone's life just ended.

Don't forget to pack the Kevlar thread!
