For example Motorola, Nokia and Sony Ericsson no longer use the attachments that come with it. More importantly if you read the output on this it's damaging to most electronics. It puts out 6.5 volts, but only at 350milliamps, which is about 20% shy of the four cell phones I've tried requiring. Maybe I'm misreading how milliamps work and so forth.

Make no mistake it does work and brilliantly. Within 5 seconds of exposing it to direct Sunlight it began to charge my iPod Video. I'm going to in the next couple of days order a USB based charger for my Sony Ericsson K550i and see if by plugging that into the USB adapter meant for the iPod Shuffle if that will work. If not I think one of us who bought this kit will be able to come up with some homebrew remedies.

It's a lot smaller than it looks, also. But sturdy. I'd say it's a little bit larger than a small moleskine notebook. A little more than 1/4" thick, too.

Did they say it was used/refurb on the site? I forget as I was holding off until someone reviewed one smile
