Stopped by REI today to get some replacement bottles for my kids. I'm still using Nalgene polycarb, but since they're only 8, I thought I'd switch them to the milky white kinds. I got a couple of those, but also found Nalgene now makes a replacement called the Everyday series, with no BPA. I don't know if they're as strong as the lexan versions, but they're otherwise identical, so my cups still fit and all. They're made out of a "copolymer".

Anyone else try these yet?

PS - And for Blast and Benjammin, it was the cool downtown REI that you should check out...

For as often as I drink from them I won't switch out my older nalgenes, but you might as well start out your kids BPA free. The Nalgene Outdoors website is a very cool place, more bottles and vials than you thought they made. Last month I was lucky to order a few flexible cantenes while they had a 50% off no shipping sale on (expired 31 August). I'm going to use one of these 32 oz flexible cantenes and see how durable they are, and I also snagged a 96 oz flexible cantene to filter water into around camp. Its replacing an MSR equivalent that looks pretty beat up after one season, which replaced a 30+ year old JanSport 1 gal flexible water container that probably cost me $1.98 for 30 years of use.

50% off made the buying easy, but even at the list price these seem like pretty good deals.

I changed over from plastic to a guyot design 32oz SS bottle... a wee bit heavy, but a very well made product.

I picked up a Camelbak copolyester job as my "daily driver." Very much impressed. I can't tell the difference from polycarbonate. All the tops are interchangeable with wide-mouth Nalgenes, so I was able to swap a pop-top onto the Camelbak for convenience.
