It's those folks I would like to force to stay in the room when we have to code Mr X. I want them to see what we have to do to their loved one ("you wanted it, now you gotta watch it buddy!).


That's a great idea! I think we've all seen more than enough of that.

I'm also just a bit tired of family members, who have apparently done nothing to help or even visit their deceased "loved one" while he or she was alive, greedily showing up and demanding their "share" of the decedent's estate, often before the body has had time to assume room temperature.

Add to the list family members dragging in their elderly parents, sometimes obviously too impaired to do so, into my office to get them to change their will, in their own favor, of course.

I'm also an advocate of ALLOWING families to witness resuscitation attempts if they want to.
