I went with a friend once, and drove up I-25 to Hwy 66, west to Lyons. In Lyons, when you get through the majority of town, instead of turning right to go to Estes Park, you turn left onto Hwy 7 (I think). You follow that up about 10 miles, and within 200 yards of it's intersection with 72, the range is on your right. So from 72, go to the Hwy 7 intersection, hang a right, and park. Sorry if this sounds vague, I drove it once and don't have a good sense of direction. I'll call him and confirm that I got it right, I'm pretty sure it's close to Jamestown.
It's an unmarked meadow, but literally everyone around uses it, including police departments. You will see cars parked along the road, best to go somewhat early in the morning. You can get shots up to 100 yards or so, we were shooting up to 80 or thereabouts, according to one guy's laser rangefinder. The whole thing is unregulated, but there is plenty of room, and nice hills to shoot in to.
