Looking at a number of the projected tracks of IKE, if I liked anywhere between Florida and Texas, I'd be making sure I checked my emergency supplies and extra gas. IKE "could" be tracking towards the Gulf Coast and a major storm.

Many areas in Louisiana and Mississippi are still without power and will be for days, if not weeks. Emergency supplies may be depleted in many stores/areas. Several friends living in Lousianna have started buying more bottled water, non-pershible food supplies, additional extra batteries, gas cans and extra gas, etc. just in case. It's never too early to make sure you could be ready. BTW, evacuations are already starting in the Florida Keys on Sat.

IKE projected storm track.

This storm could easily change it's path, but IMHO, I'd make sure I was extraready ready after Gustav.

I'm not sure where it is going, but I've seen Cat 3 and 4 projected. I'm pretty sure many places on the Gulf Coast will not be recovered from Gustav when this baby hits. Emergency supplies may be limited, my friends are restocking extra emergency supplies for IKE, just in case.
