Roger that.
The most important stuff is ammo and H20. After that it's body armor and MOPP gear. The snivle gear just helps keep Joe warm and happy (and combat ready) until the shooting starts.

Right. On a raid, ambush, point recon, etc. you’d leave your ruck in the ORP. On a movement or a patrol you’d dump your ruck at first contact with the bad guys.

You wouldn't remember anything else about that book would you? I went to Amazon and Googled "Geronimo is Alive and Well in Vietnam" and came up with nil. Shore would like to read it though. Biscuits
