Capilene is cool in hot weather, warm in cold. I wear it exclusively as my undergarments all year round. There are several weights of the material, I prefer the lightest and wear 1, 2, or three in layers depending upon conditions and gives a great comfort range.

Like OBG mentions, cotton can kill. And it certainly gets clammy in sweaty weather.
