Oh woe is me!

Check out the extra reviews: they say the contact area is too small for the Maglite spring.

Any idea how to fix this?

I bought some Enelopps but like the last guy said they don't work in Maglights. The bottom spring is too large. When are they going to sell the new C and D sizes here in the states?

Lol, that's exactly why I got these converters - D cell maglites.
I suppose some conductive foil on the bottom of the convertor would increase the contact area as long as you were careful not to short on the sides of the tubes.

That's what I was thinking of purchasing the converters for, myself.

One of the posts mentions that using a pair of pliers to bend the MagLite spring into a tighter circle worked.
