I read Chris's article twice and really enjoyed it. Working in trauma, I realized a long time ago, that a majority of accidents and situations occur close to home. While reading the article, I was particularly interested in his carry and how he used it. One item in particular was the sawyer extractor. I went out and bought one and placed it in my pack after playing with it for a few days. The nest day my son was bitten by a spider on the inside of his right bicep. The area immediately began to swell, turn red, burn, and itch. I took the extractor and used it as directed and within a few minutes the s&s began to subside and all is well. I would like to thank all of you for sharing on this forum. Thanks for the help!

Rick
