I read Chris's article twice and really enjoyed it.  Working in trauma, I realized a long time ago,  that a majority of accidents and situations occur close to home.  While reading the article, I was particularly interested in his carry and how he used it.  One item in particular was the sawyer extractor.  I went out and bought one and placed it in my pack after playing with it for a few days.  The nest day my son was bitten by a spider on the inside of his right bicep.  The area immediately began to swell, turn red, burn, and itch.  I took the extractor and used it as directed and within a few minutes the s&s began to subside and all is well.  I would like to thank all of you for sharing on this forum.
