When I was in high school we carried pocket knives at our own risk. Some teachers did not care and we used them in class as needed others would have surely suspend us or reported us to the principal.
Ditto that.
Had to use my pocket knife in 10th grade to dissect a fetal pig because the school's scalpels were too dull.
Ha ha!
We mainly used ours to open boxes, but we also discussed ballistics and rifle choices with said teacher and other related things.
Some teachers can treat children as adults others can't. (This was in 11th and 12th)
