Hi Guys, I got this from my uncle who doesn't remember most anything now <img src="images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
This is a Bianchi Industries cordura holster? the barrel of this is 1 1/4" dia., 2 7/8" long. the sheath? is 8 3/4 long, 2" wide and the belt loop is 3 1/2" long. Has a velcro tie/snap above the barrel.
The nearest I can figure is that it's for a police baton?
I got this with a bunch of military stuff, alice pack w frame mre's, belts, ammo pouches, etc.
I checked the Bianchi site and catalog.
I can't figure this out. Any ideas???
Or any other forums I can ask at?
Regards
Tom

It looks like it could be for a large flashlight like a D cell maglite, but then the fastening clip would do anything......
Thats my guess <img src="images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

It tends to look like a pouch for the PR24 Police Baton. More common in the US than the UK as many Constabularies here use the ASP extendable bit of kit which doesn't have the spar out of the side.

The way these pouches, if that is what is, works is that the baton goes in and then the snap / tie secures above the spar. It is then quite difficult to fall out but easy to pull if you need it.

Just an idea, might be wrong!!
