IMO, you really only need a clotting agent for large life-threaten bleeders.
I doubt that these bandages are marketed for life threatening situations, otherwise they would sell them in larger sizes for consumer use. It must be targeted at the convenience factor.
You might be on Heparin, you've got this small cut that you're not going to call 911 or go to the ER for, but darn it, it keeps bleeding all over my new, white pants and I'm running out of Kleenex!
