I´ve bought one about twenty years ago. I was satisfied from the start <img src="images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />. It came sharp. It holds an edge and it´s pretty easy to sharpen. The sheath has a decent quality. The Helle knives usually have a laminated blade. The core is high carbon steel that´s laminated with stainless steel. So you have to take care of it to make sure that the edge doesn´t rust. I wiped mine dry before putting it into the sheath. That was enough to keep it from rusting.
I know some hunters and fishermen who also own Helle knives. For all of them those knives became their favorites.
