John, For home water storage I use and really like the GI Runt. Holds 2.5 gallons, very sturdy, the water tastes fine even after six months. Cost about $19 per container but well worth the money IMO. Brigade Quartermasters carries it (sorry, I haven't yet learned how to post a link).
