You want the maps? The map files?
Unfortunately, those are typically paid downloads, and not cheap at all. I'm unaware of any free compatible maps for the Magellan line of GPS devices. Anyone else know of a source?

The most affordable Topo's I know which will work with Magellan GPSs are the National Geographic Topos. The newer models are designed specifically for compatibility but last time I checked the NG ones are compatible with lots of different models.

National Geographic topo works great but you can't load it into the gps unit needs mapsend mapping software.

I have a Garman X-Trex Legend, it cost $120.00 4-years ago and they wanted $100.00 for the torpo CD. I never got the CD, I mostly use it when hiking or hunting to tag locations to come back to. I also use it canoeing. It has a basic map but not a lot of detail compared to the newer ones. But it runs over 20-hours on 2 AA batteries and is waterproof and fits in my shirt pocket. For me it does all I need it to do.

I have a Garmin 60CSX with a 2GB microSD card in it. I have full streets maps for all of the US and Canada and all the topographic maps. The topo maps don't provide great coverage unfortunately; this miss a lot of areas I'm interested in it. So, paper versions are a must and it's also not a bad idea for when you batteries (or gps) unexpectedly go kaput.

I also have a Garmin 60 CSx with full US coverage of both street and topo. Problem is that AFAIK the maps are licensed to a specific GPS receiver.

Absolutely. No way to share maps legally. The standard protocol is you "unlock" the maps for each device individually.

If you go to e-bay and look for Magellans MapSend Topo, you can probably find the program cheaper than the $75 we paid for ours three years ago. It will give you the entire US...
