Real survival is way too boring to make it on TV, and they would want to send you out without the right tools (tools and supplies we all talk about right here every day) because it makes for better TV.

Reality shows are not about reality, they are entertainment. They are less scripted then normal TV but they are not real. They edit the heck out of them; change the chronological order of events and statements to make it more dramatic. Create conflict between constantans; pick stupid egocentric people that can’t work with others. By the time it hits the tube (or now days the plasma screen) it has little to do with what happened.
