I think it would work fine with AA/AAA Eneloops (or Rayovac Hybrids, which I'm also having good luck with).

Rather a neat item. I'd check carefully to make sure lots of adapters (for cell phones etc.) are included.

It's not built for CR123s, but in an emergency I think you could switch to 6V output and rig up a crude charger with wire and tape (this will work, but watch the polarity, and beware of overcharging).
