Has anybody seen and/or used the Spec Ops T.H.E. pack. I'm looking for a large daypack that can take lots of abuse and be flexible in configuration and this model appears to be just about perfect, but it ain't cheap so I was hoping for some comments from this august audience....
Hi, I had a problem with the above link . This should work spec ops T.H.E pack . Click on Packs. You'll see this pack there. I was able to order it in black. It comes in a variety of colors. Tom
The Spec Ops pack is listed as having twice the capacity of the CamelBack (2500 vs 1200 in*3)
One interesting thing about the Spec Ops to me is that it is lined with another layer of fabric (yellow I think) which should add to durability as well as helping with the search in the "black" hole of a pack in dim light.

The liner does seem like a nice feature! I wonder if it add much weight? Is the CC listing with or without the water bladder inserted? Either way the ability to carry the water is often often priceless. Seems like a good pack.
This pack is similar in appearance to Tactical Tailor's 3-day pack, and assault packs that Eagle Industries and Blackhawk Industries make. I suspect it's a matter of personal preference.
I got these people to make this actual pack for me (yes, the one in the pictures). Its a plain sand coloured version of the UK Patrol Pack. Its pricey I suppose, but the quality is great and the zip off side pockets addd flexibility. It was also designed not to look overly military.
