I found a supply of small (4 ml) nalgene bottles, and was wondering if anyone knows if they can be used to store iodine-based water purification tablets.

Thanks,
Sam

Dry tablets? Yes, but I would also throw in a bag or two of silica gel inside to keep the moisture out. I used my Nalgene bottle to keep Iodine solution which wasn't a problem for a short period of time but one time I forgot about it for a long time and it stained the bottle (also it depends how concentraded the solution is).
